It is something truly special to be able to capture a family’s first set of family photos together, especially when they’re you’re family. A family’s first family photos are precious moments that will be clung on to and looked back on, as a family reminisces about their first memories together. They are the photos that capture their newest additions at their littlest, most itty bitty stage. They are the memories that begin a new chapter in the album of life that will continue growing for years to come and you never know just how much the photos might eventually mean, until years and years later. Photographing my sister-in-law and brother-in-law to be and my newest nephew-to-be was a truly special experience. This was the first time that I’ve ever done a family portrait session for my new family and Al was able to join in photographing our beautiful family – and on the same day, we got to meet our nephew, Kenny, for the first time. I feel so grateful to have known Kenny and Kaleah during different stages of their life together – knowing them briefly before they got married, attending their wedding and witnessing their vows, and now, as new parents. It has been so beautiful to witness in their journey together and in the process of bringing their newest addition, baby Kenny Allen Batch, into the world. Thank you for allowing Al and me the opportunity to help capture these special moments!

Meet Grant, Jamie and Kendall of the Koury Family! We spent a wonderful afternoon together at Shoreline Park in Mountain View, located just across the street from Google’s campus, for their holiday family shoot. These guys were coordinated from head to toe just perfectly – Grant’s brown sweater, Jamie’s rustic brown boots and Kendall’s leopard cardigan sweater – their outfits were a beautiful complement to the yellow leaves and green foliage. Shoreline was the perfect getaway for our shoot, with picturesque backdrops – we discovered a rustic old windmill, a wooden bridge and the Historic Rengstorff Victorian House. Kendall was such a bundle of joy and had the most contagious laugh and widest smile. She absolutely lit up when she was telling me about what she asked Santa for this Christmas and when Jamie let her pose for few pictures at the end of our shoot with her cherished “pink monkey.” I hope you enjoy these sweet moments and the outdoor details that make this session so special!

The Rouas Family (from my previous blog post) introduced me to the Delsols! Meet Brady and Katie and their little ones, Julia and her TWIN siblings, Alyssa and Andrew! This was my first shoot ever photographing twins, which made it double the fun!! Al joined as my second shooter and we all had a blast in the Presidio Golden Gate National Recreation Area, climbing serpentine rock cliffs and dashing waves on the northern end of the beach. In all of the years the Delsol Family has lived in the Bay area, it was their first adventure to Baker Beach! The mild San Francisco weather worked to our advantage, as we had the beach to ourselves with a clear view of the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. I will never forget the way Brady exclaims “Andrew-MAN!” or Katie’s beautiful laugh and the way she contagiously lit up when she played on the beach with Julia, Andrew and Alyssa. The little ones even got wrapped gifts from Mom at the end of our session since they were so well-behaved! I hope you enjoy the magical moments and sweet expressions of the Delsol Family just as much as Al and I enjoyed capturing them (this one’s filled with plenty of kisses, holding hands and piggyback rides)!
